The New York Times recently put out its 7-day sugar challenge. We encourage you to give it a try – avoiding too much added sugar is a key to healthy eating. Frequent questions related to the challenge include coffee and, yes, oats – so we can’t resist chiming in! Our Orso Toscano and Cottage Garden flavors have zero grams of added sugar. Meanwhile the organic honey in Little Bears Breakfast and organic maple syrup in Petite Canadienne carry 8 and 11 grams of added sugar, respectively. You can put those levels in context of recommended daily added sugar limits – again according to the Times, those are 9 teaspoons for men (36 grams), six for women (24 grams), and about 3 for children (12 grams).
